Happy New Year everyone,

With this great festive season where we seem to indulge and eat to do make our favourite foods, ive been playing around with the idea of using waste, mainly seafood waste as fertilizer for your garden,i know sounds grosss but there are some real benefits of keeping your stinky waste and reincorperating it back into your gardern.

*This can be done as simply as blending up your waste using a food processor, with added water, and i added, molasses or brown sugar...

Just blend until everything is quite smooth etc...and there you have it really simple....this mixture can have water added to it and stired, then it is as simple as pouring some of the liquid around your favourite trees/plants...and it is a good idea to water in so the smell doesnt hang around etc,,,

For the more solid parts of your mixture i dig a small trench approx 15cm deep and as long as you like ,around my favourite trees  ( at the moment citrus) tip the mixture in and cover back over with soil,,give it a water etc..,your soil will go next level putting seafood waste into it....

and i guess this technic could be used for most food waste,,,,just dont over do it as the soil can only convert so much at a time..

Composta Home

our new product

We have added a blend of innoculated bark/biochar to our products,

I have been adding large bark/mulch to my Compostas for years and it helps them tremendously, and also biochar is a proven winner when gardening, our biochar is made quiet chunky to improve structure when added to potting mix....it is just things i have been doing for years but is now available in our ''Premium'' Kits

All the best happy gardening, any questions shoot me any email :)
